研究テーマ

1世界政治思想史 World History of Political Thought: 西洋の政治思想史及び東洋の政治思想史に加えてインド、イスラム圏、アフリカ、南米の政治思想史も含めた総合的な政治思想史を実現・発展させる研究。比較政治思想の方法論を開発する研究も含まれる。
2日本の政治物語分析 Analysis of the Narratives of Japanese Politics: 政治学理論と実証的な現代政治史に現れる証拠を比較しながら、日本現代政治史の物語論を理解、展開していく研究。
3日本保守政治の系譜 The Evolution of Japanese Conservatism: 明治から現在に至る日本の保守思想の変遷を分析。
4日本の左派－歴史、思想、ジェンダー The Japanese Left: History, Thought and Gender: 日本の社会主義と無政府主義運動の研究。特に近代日本に特有なジェンダーとセクシュアリティの歴史的背景に焦点をあてる。
5資本主義の多様性と日本 Varieties of Capitalism and Japan:: 新古典派経済学を再検討するためには、資本主義の多様性についての実証的研究が必要とされているが、特に日本におけるビジネスと政治の関係には再び注目したい。
