概要

　本論文では，「国鉄労働組合婦人部実態調査」について，調査の概要と歴史的文脈を整理するとともに，デジタル復元の過程と二次分析の事例を紹介し，今後の活用に向けた展望を示す．
　「国鉄労働組合婦人部実態調査」は1952 年，国鉄の女性労働者を対象に行われた悉皆調査である．戦時における国鉄女性労働者の職域・人数の急拡大と，戦後の政策的な大量解雇が，調査の背景にある．戦後日本における労働組合のジェンダー・バイアスの解明という課題に，組合員レベルの個票データからアプローチすることが可能になるという意味でも，復元の意義は大きい．
　デジタル復元においては，調査当時と現在との時代的・組織的な文脈の断絶に対応することが必要となる．作業環境・体制に制約があるなかで，質の高いデータセットの作成を効率的に行うため，ハード・ソフト両面でいくつかの工夫を行なった．
　今後多分野の研究者によって分析が行われることで，本調査が持つさまざまな可能性が引き出されることを期待したい．

Abstract

This paper explores the “the NRU (National Railways Workers' Union) Women's Department Survey” by summarizing its outline and historical background, introducing digital restoration process, and showing examples of secondary analysis.
The survey was conducted in 1952 among female workers of the Japanese National Railways.
The important historical background for the survey is that although the number of female workers and the categories of theire occupations at JNR expanded rapidly as a result of World War II, they were laid off significantly after the war.
The work records of digital restoration of the survey presented in this paper will be useful to those working on digital restoration of social survey data.
Secondary analysis of the survey data will contribute to deeper understanding of various issues, including gender bias in labor unions in postwar Japan.
